Formation of Precipitin Lines between Insulin and Anti-insulin Serum produced in Sheep and in Guinea Pigs

Abstract

USING the Ouchterlony plate technique1, Moloney and Aprile2, Steigerwald et al.3, and recently Jones and Cunliffe4, have demonstrated precipitin reactions between insulin and anti-insulin sera raised in horses, rabbits, and guinea pigs respectively. Ship et al.5 have also recorded a weak reaction with serum from an insulin-resistant diabetic patient in coma.
