Abstract
FLAMANT1 has estimated the distribution of light in the image formed in the human eye of a brightly illuminated slit. By the kindness of Prof. Arnulf and Mlle. Flamant of the Institut d'Optique in Paris, we were allowed to use their apparatus and method to make similar measurements on the eyes of cats. Visual stimuli have been used for electrophysiological work on the visual system of the cat, and it is often important to know how accurate an image is formed.
