Abstract
A RECENT communication by Townsend, Morgan and Hazlett1 suggests that admixture of 10-hydroxy-δ2-decenoic acid with tumour cells will prevent growth of the cells on inoculation into mice. Similar results have been obtained by this group with other dicarboxylic acids2. In the course of work on the action of surface-active agents on tumour cell membranes3, we have noted similar inhibition of growth of Ehrlich ascites tumour cells.
