Abstract
DIFFERENCES in relative particle-sizes of metals chelated in vitro and injected into animals have been related to their selective deposition in tissues1. The possibility that injected inorganic salts of metals may also combine with normal plasma constituents to influence their subsequent distribution among animal tissues might be surmised from many physico-chemical considerations. The present investigation presents preliminary results which indicate that selective distribution in tissues of radioactive promethium (147Pm) may be related to combinations with plasma fractions.
