Abstract
THOUGH there are numerous examples of changes of habit in crystals produced by impurities in the mother liquor, it has scarcely been noticed that crystal habits are so changed by optically active impurities as to appear to be modified, due to the asymmetric structures of the impurities. Tartar emetic has been found to be one of such impurities which influence the growth of crystals of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate.
