Perfect and Imperfect Density Dependence in Population Dynamics

Abstract

IN his recent article1, Solomon has not made clear either my thesis or his reason for rejecting it. The thesis was developed in relation to my theory of natural control of insect populations for which a new classification of environmental factors was necessary2 3. Let me attempt to clarify.
