Abstract
PAINTS which fluoresce in ultra-violet light were found promising in the laboratory for marking Glossina 1. A test to confirm the usefulness of the method in the field was made in January 1957, with Glossina swynnertoni Austen, at Shinyanga, Lake Province, Tanganyika.
