A Quantitative Comparison of Sulphydryl Content and Formazan in the Tissues of the Pea Radicle

Abstract

SEVERAL workers have discussed the tetrazolium indicators as possible histochemical reagents for SH-groups1–4. Experiments by Roberts and Lucchese5 indicated a positive correlation between the histochemical localization of protein-bound SH-groups and triphenyl tetrazolium chloride reduction.
