The Units of Time and Length

Abstract

SINCE the atomic standard of frequency was put into operation1, a number of comments have been published2–10 concerning the possibility of using the standard to define the unit of time; but two queries initially raised by Dr. G. M. Clemence3 have not yet been fully answered.
