Abstract
AN experiment on the detection of movement of pebbles on the sea bed was carried out off Scolt Head Island in Norfolk during April and May 1956. Pebbles marked radioactively were used for this purpose. It is believed that it is the first time that such a method has been used in Britain to trace pebbles.
