Abstract
A PHENOMENON which has aroused some speculation is the reversal or inversion of the fungicidal effect of the dithiocarbamyl compounds. First described by Dimond and Heuberger1, it shows itself as a lack of toxicity at intermediate concentrations, whereas at higher and lower, growth inhibition may be nearly complete. Some explanations have been proposed1,2; but none of them so far seems satisfactory.
