Influence of Dietary Antibiotic Supplements on the Visceral Weights of Pigs

Abstract

GORDON1 showed that a dietary antibiotic supplement of 50 parts per million of procaine penicillin or terramycin in the food of chicks produced a significant reduction in the weight of the small intestine. The weights of the liver and spleen were not affected.
