Abstract
SEVERAL investigators have previously recorded the presence of buds on the roots of the rosebay willow-herb or fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium (L.) Scop.)1–4, and the purpose of the present work was to obtain a more complete picture of the formation of these root buds.
