Abstract
So far there has not yet been any clear confirmation of the experiments of Wilson and Stoner1, Adler2 and others which were thought to have demonstrated the presence of a curare-like substance in the serum of myasthenic patients. As the presence of such a circulating paralytic factor cannot explain the abnormal reaction of myasthenic patients when injected with decamethonium3, we thought it desirable to attempt further confirmation of the results obtained by Wilson and Stoner.
