Abstract
IN the ovariectomized mouse, vaginal cornification follows the administration of œstrogens systemically (for example, by subcutaneous injection), or locally by their direct application to the vaginal epithelium. However, the median effective dose for all ‘true’ œstrogens is considerably lower for the local method of administration than for the systemic method1.
