Abstract
IN earlier communications1 on this subject, it has been shown that the rate of creep, under constant load, of wool fibres in water has the characteristics of a first-order reaction. The value of the reaction constant (k) for fibres taken from the same lock of Lincoln wool was found to vary from 3.83 to 50.2 (in arbitrary units), and there appeared to be an inverse relationship between the sulphur-content of the fibres and their rate of creep.
