Abstract
A PHYSICAL theory of the magnetic properties of ferrites has recently been given by Néel1. Experimental investigations by which this theory may be tested include those of E. W. Gorter2 on the saturation magnetization of a number of simple and mixed ferrites at low temperature, and of H. G. Beljers and D. Polder3 on the g-factors of nickel–zinc ferrites of various compositions at room temperature.
