Abstract
PREVIOUS studies of electrical discharges in gases1–3 at frequencies up to 10 Mc./s. have mainly been concerned with air. In recent experiments, I have measured the high-frequency electric strength of air, nitrogen, oxygen and ‘Freon 12’ (CCl2F2).
