Abstract
THIS is a puzzling book. It begins with Mr. T. S. Eliot explaning that his intention is definition, that he wants to make clear to his readers what culture is and what it is not, to give us a better understanding of the meaning of the word so that we shall not talk the nonsense about culture of which he complains.
