Pelage Change of the Stoat, Mustela erminea L

Abstract

IN 19421, I published an account of the change of pelage in the stoat, Mustela erminea L. The whitening of the coat in three out of five captive stoats was attributed to exposure to cold, although this factor did not seem to affect the commencement of the moult itself.
