Abstract
IN 1925, Keilin1 described for the first time the absorption spectrum of cytochrome visible in the living tissues of flowering plants. We have been able to prepare from germinating seeds and other tissues of monocotyledons and dicotyledons an insoluble residue showing the complete cytochrome spectrum.
