Abstract
(1) HIS part of the great “Handbuch der A Klimatologie” contains two sections, the South Sea Islands and the Antarctic. In spite of their apparent total dissimilarity, these two regions are alike in being represented by few and scattered climatological data, which are none the less impressive because they show the interaction of meteorological forces on a scale seen in few other parts of the earth.
