Abstract
ALTHOUGH the title of this book is a little mis leading—it should surely have been “A Textbook of Practical Pharmacognosy”, according to the very principle laid down in the authors' preface? its use will probably extend well beyond the circle of students for whom it is primarily intended. In that sense, it may well act as a substitute for larger works of reference on the shelves of those who have only occasionally to tackle the description and identification of natural drugs.
