Abstract
COMPARATIVELY few cases of hermaphroditism have been recorded among echinoids. Gadd1 has described a specimen of Strongylocentrotus drbachiensis with four segments of the gonad female and one segment male. Gray2 has described a specimen of S. lividus with three segments female and two mixed female and male. He has also described2 a specimen of Arbacia pustulosa which was apparently a castrated male with some secondary female characters.
