Abstract
A SURVEY of the results from liming experiments in progress during the last twenty-five years at the Tennessee Agricultural Station was given by Prof. C. A. Mooers in his address as vice-president of Section O (Agriculture) of the American Association for the Advancement of Science at the recent Des Moines meeting, and has now appeared in Science, vol. 71, p. 81. The investigations have been carried out in the laboratory in conjunction with open air lysi-meters of two types, one containing surface soil only, the other having in addition an under layer of heavy loam subsoil.
