Abstract
IN connexion with the field strength produced at various places by a broadcasting aerial, the paper on signal strength, by J. H. Reyner, published in the Journal of the Institution of Electrical Engineers for January, will be found of interest. Measurements were made in Cornwall of the field strength due to the broadcasting station 5XX at Daventry by means of a simple portable equipment consisting of a screened local oscillator and a sensitive microammeter.
