Abstract
ARECENT note in our astronomical column stated that observations in January at La Plata and Johannesburg showed that Nova Pictoris was surrounded by a nebulous ring. About Mar. 26 the La Plata observers noted that the appearance of this ring had altered; they telegraphed to Johannesburg, asking for an examination to be made with the 26-inch refractor; this was done, and revealed the fact that the star appeared double.
