Abstract
ENCKE'S COMET.—This comet was of magnitude 14 at the end of July, but it has been rapidly approach-ing both sun and earth, and should now be visible with ordinary telescopes, especially before September 10, as the moon will be troublesome after that date. The following ephemeris, for Greenwich midnight, is from the B.A.A. Handbook:
