Abstract
THESE publications are indicative of the extra--L ordinary specialisation of cellulose chemistry, and at the same time of a tendency to intensive elaboration of detail in investigation, and more particularly of records, which, however interesting to the specialist, are drawn in too narrow a perspective to rank in the general literature of the science.
