Abstract
WITHIN recent years our forestry literature has been rapidly and steadily on the increase, which may be taken as a sign that more attention is now being given to matters sylvicultural than formerly. The above work is one of the most recent additions, and its thoroughty sound, practical, and scientific character should secure it a wide circulation, not only in this country, but also in America, to which it equally refers.
