Abstract
THE scientific world has lost an indefatigable worker by the sudden death of Dr. Gladstone, which occurred on Monday, October 6. Few men had a larger circle of friends, for the beauty of his character and the kindliness of his nature endeared him to all those who had the good fortune to know him.
