Abstract
THIS is one of the best books which has been published in this country on the steam engine and other heat motors. The method and style is thoroughly characteristic of Prof Perry. Many will no doubt object to the order of arrangement of the various chapters, and will be inclined to think the author has put the cart before the horse; the author will probably reply that the book was not written for the beginner, but for advanced students.
The Steam Engine and Gas and Oil Engines.
