Abstract
A CASE somewhat resembling those previously described (NATURE, May 12, p. 45, and May 19, p. 52), occurs on the dormant volcano of Barren Island in the Andaman Sea. The only (comparatively) fresh water to be found on the island reaches the surface in the form of hot springs, which gush out close to the shore at the breach through the ancient cone.
