Abstract
On Thursday and Friday, the 4th and 5th inst., the annual general meeting of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers was held in the theatre of the Institution of Civil Engineers, in Great George Street. The President (Mr. E. Windsor Richards) occupied the chair. The Secretary read the report of the Council, from which it appeared that the Institution continues to grow in numbers and to accumulate capital, it having an income of over 7000/. a year, and an expenditure of about 5000/., the accumulated excess of receipts over expenditure being now over 46,000/.
