Abstract

I DESIRE to draw the attention, more particularly of your electrical readers, to the following paragraph on p. 651 of the eighth edition (1884) of Deschanel's “Natural Philosophy,” part iii., which appears distinctly at variance with the theory of thunderstorms as explained in Prof. Silvanus Thompson's “Elementary Lessons,” and similar elementary treatises:—
