Abstract
As a curious incident enacted by sparrows has just come under my notice, which possesses some added interest in connexion with the two occurrences recorded by your correspondent J. M. H.—viz. the employment by some finches of flowers in the formation of their nests (NATURE, vol. xvi. p. 83, and vol. xxxvi. pp. 101–2)—it may be worth while to submit a detailed consideration of the case.
