Abstract
HAVING been requested by this journal to give an account of my latest researches into the nature of the aurora borealis, I must explain that my lateness in complying with this request arises from the fact that I had this winter changed my residence from Bergen, where the communication was directed, to this spot—Kautokeino, in Ultima Thule.
